The YouTube channel VGTech has published the technical video analysis of the Alpha Multiplayer 2v2 version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare which is being held in these days exclusively for PlayStation 4 users.
The Alpha version of the game uses a variable dynamic resolution to try to keep the framerate stable, it goes from a minimum of 960×1080 to 1920×1080 on PlayStation 4 Standard and oscillates between 1152 × 1800 and 1920 × 2160 (native) on PlayStation 4 PRO, with a framerate that shows declines only in the most agitated situations.
In general, the new Activision shooter seems to behave quite well on the Sony console, to signal obviously the fact that it is only an Alpha version and as such subject to numerous improvements from the technical point of view, being the build not very recent.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be released on October 25th on PC (via Battle.net), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, at Gamescom we got to try the Alpha Multiplayer 2v2 getting positive feelings from what was shown. Now all that remains is to wait for the revelation of the campaign, one of the aspects on which the players can’t wait to learn new details since it is Modern Warfare, not a remake but a game set in the same narrative universe.
