Gran Turismo Sport: The New Update Will Introduce Rain, It’s Official

Today, Tuesday 27th August, the new Gran Turismo Sport update will arrive, as confirmed in an official post published on the PlayStation Blog.

This is a pretty interesting update for fans of the Polyphony Digital car racing simulator. First of all, we learn of the arrival of five new cars from the 80s and 90s, all from Japanese manufacturers, and that we are going to report below:

  • Honda S2000 ’99
  • Nissan Silvia K’s Dia Selection (S13) ’90
  • Toyota Corolla Levin 1600GT APEX (AE86) ’83
  • Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX Type R STi Version VI ’99
  • Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo ’91

The real novelty, however, is represented by the long-awaited arrival of the rain: the new meteorological effect has finally been introduced into the game, although it is temporarily available only for the Red Bull Ring circuit. You can take a first look at the rain through the gallery of unpublished images that we have reported to you at the bottom of this news.

Finally, we also mention the addition of seven new rounds for the J-Sports Meeting and the Porsche Cup, both available in the GT League mode. On the other hand, there would seem to be no trace of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, which, however, we know is certainly in the pipeline. Are you satisfied with the changes made by the Polyphony Digital developers with the new Gran Turismo Sport update?
