The Launch of World of Warcraft Classic Marks New Records on Twitch

Great success for World of Warcraft Classic on Twitch: the Blizzard game is available from today (Tuesday 27th August) but the press, influencer, and streamer have started talking about WOW Classic in the past few days and yesterday a new record was touched on Twitch.

World of Warcraft Classic was the most-watched and broadcast game on Twitch on August 26th, with over 1.1 million viewers at the same time and all the leading streamer involved in the transmission of content. These are incredible numbers if we think that Fortnite lately does not exceed 200,000 spectators simultaneously and even the big eSport events struggle to reach certain figures.

A curious fact: despite the long queues to get into the game, the views have not dropped, Kotaku cites the case of Asmongold, the famous WOW streamer who could count on over 200,000 spectators even before being able to access the servers. Even Sodapoppin and Shroud (the latter not specialized in World of Warcraft) have generated similar numbers, reflecting the renewed interest in Blizzard’s MMORPG.

World of Warcraft Classic is available from today on PC and Mac in Standard version and in the special 15th Anniversary Edition which includes various bonuses including 30 days of subscription, the Ragnaros the Fire Lord statuette (25 centimeters high), prints and illustrations, plus a series of classic mounts.
