SEGA has confirmed the arrival in the West of the new chapter of the Yakuza series, revealing its official title and launch window for the European and American territory.
Announced during the morning of Thursday 29 August with the publication of the first trailer of Yakuza 7, the game will land in the Old Continent with the name of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The date of publication has already been made official for the Japanese territory, where the title will debut on 16 January 2020 on Playstation 4. For now, SEGA has instead indicated for Europe and the Americas only an exit window, set for a generic 2020. On the pages of the Gematsu portal, the trailer for Yakuza Like a Dragon is currently available with English subtitles: you can view it even at the beginning of this news. For now, however, the official website in English of the game does not seem to be reachable.
We remind you that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will bring with it important news on the combat system front, but also of the setting. The game will see us take on the role of the protagonist Ichiban Kasuga, who after a series of events will find himself moving his steps in the Japanese city of Yokohama. Following the formalization of the game, SEGA released the first details on what will be the plot of Yakuza Like a Dragon.
