With an official statement, the Beenox guys announced the new Spyro & Friends Grand Prix has officially opened its doors in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, bringing with them new characters, karts and exclusive items!
The biggest news is undoubtedly represented by the introduction of Spyro as an unlockable character. The cute little purple dragon, in any case, is not alone: there are also Hunter and Gnasty Gnorc as playable characters and Sparx as a protective mask similar to Aku Aku for the new Spyro Circuit. The news does not end there: Spyro & Friends Grand Prix offers many content that players can acquire only if connected to the internet, such as the new Spyromobile, Gnasty Ride and Dragonfly karts, as well as new elements available in the Pit Stop including the new Gem Paint Jobs, wheels with themed elements, Viking Polar skins, Orc Big Norm and more!
Along with the Grand Prix, some improvements to the gaming experience have also been introduced and several bugs found both in offline and online modes have been fixed. The Kart Nostalginator and the Baby T. character will be regularly assigned to the players who have earned them, while the Grand Prix menu is now also available in online lobbies.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. While we’re at it, we remind you that Spyro Reignited Trilogy, collected with the first three chapters featuring the dragon already available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will be published on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on September 3rd. Of the PC version of Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, however, nothing is known yet.
