Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan & Asia announced the Tokyo Game Show lineup from 12 to 15 September in the past few hours. Death Stranding will be present at the fair, but not in a playable form, unlike what was initially understood following the statements by Hideo Kojima at Gamescom.
Sony informs that the game ” will have an important exhibition space ” at the Japanese fair, however, no playable demos will be made available to the public as will happen with other titles such as Nioh 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare (distributed by Sony in Japan) and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
During the Tokyo Game Show, Sony will simply show a gameplay video on large screens placed in a special area, in all probability in the days of the fair there will also be a panel starring Hideo Kojima, for the moment however the plans regarding streaming broadcasts and the events on stage have not yet been confirmed.
The only certainty is that there will not be the classic Pre Tokyo Game Show conference generally scheduled between 7 and 10 September, the reasons behind this decision have not been communicated by the Japanese publisher.
