The Destiny 2 cross-save has been available for more than a week now and, with the arrival of Shadows from the Deep and the numerous changes to the Seasons system, cross-buy could also arrive.
In fact, according to a recent tweet by Paul Tassi, a video game critic working for Forbes, Bungie could allow players to buy the Seasons and switch to other platforms without having to buy them back. Obviously you will need to be in possession of Shadows from the Deep on each platform on which you will want to play, but as far as the seasons are concerned you will only need to have it on the main one. So if you have enabled cross-save on the PlayStation 4 characters, by purchasing the Shadowkeep Deluxe Edition on the Sony console and the standard edition on PC, you can enjoy the season-related content on both versions.
This is obviously information to be taken with pliers and we will have to wait for official confirmations from the developers to be sure that this mechanism is present for the next game content.
Meanwhile, we remind you that with the release of Ombre dal Profondo and Una Nuova Luce, both scheduled for October 1, 2019, the Season Passes of Destiny 2 will arrive, whose operation is very similar to those seen in Fortnite Battle Royale.
So interesting thing I just heard from Bungie.
Seasons are cross-account purchases *if* you buy them on your main platform.
As in, if you chose your PS4 characters as your main, and you buy the season there, it will transfer to PC via cross save. But only if you do it that way
