Are you planning to purchase the physical version of Spyro Reignited Trilogy for Nintendo Switch? Know then that the only cartridge is not enough to play.
Someone has managed to get their hands on the cartridge of the trilogy a few days before the official release and, apparently, an update is required to start the game. The lucky users who own the game have tried in every way to start it without these additional files and, unfortunately, there was no way to circumvent this request. Even if you activate the airplane mode on the Nintendo hybrid console, the system will display a warning that explicitly requires the mandatory update to be installed. The patch in question, already available on Nintendo servers, has a weight of 8.7GB, which could be quite cumbersome if you do not have a more or less large microSD available.
We remind you that the game has been available for a few months now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and starting from September 3rd, 2019 the little purple dragon will also land on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).
Did you know that the Spyro brand is still in the hands of Activision despite the fact that Insomniac Games was officially acquired by Sony?
