Iceborne, expansion of Monster Hunter World coming in a few days, promises to be epochal. The developers have promised a quantity of content compared to that of the basic game, and judging from what has been shown so far, we can hardly believe it. Just two days ago, among other things, the return of the Zinogre was confirmed.
It is a Wyvern Zannuto capable of controlling electricity that first appeared in 2010 in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd for PSP and then appeared in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. The yellow-brown carapace that covers it includes lipid masses capable of generating electricity, which is stored and amplified by the white fur and the presence of lightning insects, which allow the monster to reach the loaded state.
Such a special creature could not fail to be honored with themed equipment, which compared to the classic ones that long-time hunters will surely remember, present some changes to symmetry and skill. Even the design of the Zinogre’s weapons will have strong references to the original materials, with resistant armor and electrically charged furs. This applies in particular to weapons with a loading-based game mechanic, such as the new loaded blade. You can get a taste of the equipment in question (and the Zinogre attacks) by looking at the short clips attached at the bottom of this news.
The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion, we remember, will be launched on September 6th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions (it will need the original game to work).
