Despite what has been said in recent weeks, Borderlands 3, the new chapter of the looter-shooter series of Gearbox Software, now nearing arrival, will include the preload function on Epic Games Store, the only platform currently available for the PC version of the game.
The confirmation comes directly from 2K Games, which with a note made it clear that players who pre-ordered the Borderlands 3 PC edition will be able to take advantage of the preload available on the Epic Games store. The preload will, therefore, be available 48 hours before the official launch of the game, scheduled for September 13th at 01:00 am CEST.
The news comes as a surprise because Tim Sweeney’s statements a few days ago had told us a totally opposite version of the facts.
Borderlands 3 will be available from 13 September 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The guys at Gearbox Software explained the motivation behind the absence of Jack the Fair in this new iteration of the franchise. The software house also took advantage of PAX West to disseminate the first details on post-launch support and DLC.
