Astral Chain Is a Hit in Japan, out of Stock Near the Major Retailers

The Astral Chain Gameplay Is in the Nier Style: Automata and Bayonetta!

At the moment getting a copy of Astral Chain in Japan seems to be very difficult: a little less than a week after its launch, the Platinum Games game is sold out and the main retailers in the country have no new stocks available.

Large retailers such as Bic Camera have finished the copies available to them on day one, while Amazon Japan has finished its stocks over the weekend. Retailers have also exhausted the download codes in physical format on cardboard, much in demand by customers who have failed to obtain a retail copy. At the moment we do not know how many Nintendo units have actually distributed but there is a good chance that Astral Chain has reached 50,000 copies distributed at launch.

Almost certainly Nintendo will supply the dealers again in the coming days, Astral Chain has all the credentials to become one of the best-selling Platinum games along with the first Bayonetta. Even in the West, the reception was warm, in the United Kingdom the title debuted at the top of the ranking leaving behind titles like Wreckfest, The Dark Pictures Anthology Man of Medan and Control, which benefited from a greater advertising battle than the game Nintendo.
