Platinum Games has published an unpublished artwork to thank the players who contributed to the success of Astral Chain, the last project of the Japanese company published at the end of August exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
“Thank you all for helping to make Astral Chain a success! The artist Hajime Kimura wanted to capture this moment with a special illustration depicting the cast of Astral Chain “, says a message published by Platinum Games on Twitter.
Astral Chain has been received positively by the international press (Metacritic says that the Metascore is equal to 88, after the removal of the negative reviews left to do Review Bombing) and also the sales seem to be good, although not excellent in this first phase. In the United Kingdom, the game debuted in first place in the week of launch, overtaking Wreckfest, The Dark Pictures Anthology Man of Medan and Control, while in Japan the game sold just under 40,000 copies over its debut weekend.
The sales figures in other European countries and in North America are not known but it seems that both Nintendo and Platinum have been satisfied with the welcome given to Astral Chain, undoubtedly a positive sign awaiting the release of Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch.
