The time for the publication of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Nintendo Switch is approaching, and the CD Projekt Red team tells how the idea to carry out the project was born.
During a recent interview granted to the editors of Nintendo Everything, Piotr Chrzanowski, senior producer at the Polish software house, was able to comment on the origins of this choice. ” When I played The Witcher 3 for the first time – he says – I had this dream of bringing it with me everywhere. I loved the world, I loved the characters and the story … I mean, wouldn’t it be great to end a mission on the go? that not only did I have this idea “.
Charzanowski tells how Saber Interactive first took the initiative to propose the project to CD Projekt, declaring himself able to create a port of The Witcher 3 for Nintendo Switch. The reaction of the Polish software house was positive, also because he had already had the opportunity to collaborate with the Saber developers. The two teams had, in fact, worked together to implement 4K and HDR in the console versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The first prototype shown to them definitively convinced the authors of the appreciated RPG of the feasibility of the project.
As announced by a trailer for The Witcher 3 for Switch, the game will arrive on the Nintendo console next October 15th.
