Yakuza 7: Ijincho Will Be Three / Four Times Larger Than Kamurocho


Yakuza 7 Whereabouts of Light and Darkness ( Yakuza Like A Dragon in the West) was announced in late August and will be one of the protagonists of this week ‘s Tokyo Game Show, pending the event however some details about the setting emerge.

In the issue of Famitsu on newsstands this week there is a rich report on Yakuza 7, as reported by Ryokutya2089 and translated into English by Siliconera. Among the novelties of Yakuza Like A Dragon, as we know, a new setting (Ijincho) that will replace Kamurocho, the iconic location of the SEGA branded series.

What we did not know, however, is that the new location will be at least three or four times larger than in Kamurocho as regards the explorable surface, without considering the interiors of the buildings and the various activities to be visited. In addition to the new setting, Yakuza 7 can count on a new protagonist (Ichiban Kasuga) and on a renewed combat system, now similar to that of the JRPG in shifts.

Yakuza 7 Whereabouts of Light and Darkness will be released in Japan and Asia on January 16, 2020, on PlayStation 4, the launch in the West was confirmed for next year with the title Yakuza Like A Dragon, without the progressive numbering that will be maintained in the country of Rising Sun.
