The leaders of Bandai Namco take advantage of the media visibility guaranteed by the Tokyo Game Show 2019 to project ourselves once again in the colorful dimension of Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris with a gameplay video that illustrates the combat system of this ambitious RPG action devoted to multiplayer.
The video at the beginning of the article was recorded during the streaming held in the Japanese capital on the occasion of the Famitsu x Dengeki event. In development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Lycoris will draw inspiration from the SAO Alicization series of the same name to write a new page of the fantasy adventure lived by the famous Kirito.
As we can guess by looking at the new trailer, the Lycoris Japanese authors will try to give us an extremely fluid multiplayer experience, with a graphic section that will point to 1080p and 60fps to emphasize the aspects of the “Monster Hunter” gameplay linked to the variety of attacks and the wealth of techniques to be tested in the magic combat system and the white weapon. The other great element of the originality of the project will be represented by the unusual creatures that we will have to face, such as the giant crab that embellishes today’s video.
The western transposition of Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris has not yet been announced, but the ambitions nurtured by Bandai Namco and the team directed by Reki Kawahara leave no room for doubt and lead us to look at the first half of 2020 as the most likely window for the European and North American launch of this interesting online RPG.
