Capcom announced that Monster Hunter World Iceborne has reached and exceeded 2.5 million copies distributed worldwide since its launch on September 6 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The figure includes both digital copies downloaded from the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store and sales of the Iceborne Master Edition, available in both physical and digital formats. The Osaka home also announced that the games in the Monster Hunter series have placed a total of 58 million copies by September 13, 2019.
Undoubtedly a good success for Capcom, after the excellent welcome this year also to Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry V, both capable of recording sales above expectations, as confirmed by the company in one of the most recent financial reports. Monster Hunter World has sold over thirteen million copies, becoming the best-selling Capcom game ever, having also passed Street Fighter II.
