After attending the Gamescom 2019 Opening Night Live and gaining immortality with participation in Death Stranding, the famous journalist and videogame entrepreneur Geoff Keighley finally announces the date and time of the start of The Game Awards 2019.
The next edition of the Californian show produced, organized and led by Keighley himself with the support of several strategic commercial partners in the sector will be broadcast starting at 02:30 am (GMT +) on Thursday 12 December.
During the show, as happened during the past TGAs, several World Premiere will be presented which will include exclusive videos of announced games and in-depth videos with demos and gameplay of the most anticipated titles of 2020. With the approach of next-gen, it is likely that the stage of The Game Awards will be used by Sony and Microsoft to present some of the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett launch video games, or perhaps the final design of the consoles and the definitive hardware specifications.
On the occasion of the Game Awards, we will then be able to attend the awards ceremony of the best video games marketed in 2019: the event will be attended by various protagonists of the digital entertainment industry. Although the list with nominations has not yet been issued, among the games that will compete to win the highest number of prizes we should certainly find blockbusters such as Resident Evil 2, Sekiro Shadows, Die Twice, Dreams, Gears 5, Astral Chain, Death Stranding and many others.
