During the Tokyo Game Show, 2019 Capcom unveiled plans for post-launch support for Iceborne, Monster Hunter World’s first and largest expansion. As we have already reported, the first major update will arrive in October and will introduce the Rajang, but the news does not end here at all.
The Japanese company announced that in November, with the Title Update 11.50, it will exclusively introduce on the PlayStation 4 the first part of the crossover quest with The Frozen Wilds, DLC by Horizon Zero Dawn that with Iceborne shares the focus on snowy settings. It will be possible to control Aloy and, of course, to unblock themed equipment. With the Major Title Update 12.00, scheduled for December, it will also propose the second and third parts of the same quest, as well as a new Astera Festival and some additional unspecified monsters, the latter also for Xbox One. In January 2020, the celebrations for the second anniversary will be held, which will also coincide with the launch of Iceborne on PC.
On the occasion of the announcement of the second collaboration with the title of Guerrilla Games ( a crossover quest with Horizon has already been proposed last year in the base game), the trailer has been published that you can see at the top of this news. Iceborne, we remember, is currently available for purchase on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, platforms on which it has already placed the beauty of 2.5 million copies.
