Bandai Namco is preparing to bring Splatterhouse, Mr. Driller and Klonoa back to life?

Mr. Driller

Last year Bandai Namco released Katamari Damacy Reroll, remaster of the eponymous game launched in Japan with the title Katamari Damacy Encore. Recently the publisher has registered new brands with the term “Encore”, suggesting the possible return of a series of classic Namco labels.

A prime example is Kotoba no Puzzle Moji Pittan Encore, a puzzle based on Kotoba no Puzzle Moji Pittan released on the Nintendo Wii, the Japanese publisher however also recorded other brands, including Klonoa Encore, Genpei Touma Den Encore, Mr. Driller Encore, Splatter House Encore and Wagyan Land Encore, all referring to titles in the Bandai catalog.

It has also been discovered that the company has registered a trademark for Rise of New Champions in collaboration with Shueisha, probably to give life to a new game based on an intellectual property published in Jump magazine.

Unfortunately, there are no other details on the subject, at the moment the Japanese giant has not announced anything about it but it is possible to think that the idea is to give life to a series of remastered under the “Encore” series, through which revive games that they made the story of Bandai Namco.
