Death Stranding could have sequels, the confirmation of Hideo Kojima

Death Stranding, the Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima Will Arrive on PS4: Sony Confirms

The wait for the arrival of Death Stranding becomes increasingly feverish, the new exclusive for PlayStation 4 which, according to the words of its creator Hideo Kojima, will be introduced in the videogame market trying to give life to a completely original genre.

As explained by the Japanese author, Death Stranding stands for the ” Social Strand System ” as well as Metal Gear Solid stands for ” Tactical Espionage Action “, but to make that of the exclusive PS4 become an established genre in the industry it may be necessary to realize sequels , or projects related to the main title. This is what was stated by Kojima during an interview granted to Gamespot:

“I’m not totally sure. The hardest part, when you create something new, is that you have to do a sequel and then a third version, or it won’t become established as a genre. When this game comes out there will be so many positive and negative sides, but I think “It is better that I continue with a sequel. Yes, probably [there will be] a version 1.5, and then 2, perhaps, so that it can last and people become aware of the genre.

Kojima claims to have several ideas that could turn into concrete projects (even extra-videogames, such as a dramatic TV series), but it will be a must to decide how to use their limited resources in the future:

“The reason why it’s not all defined is that I have only one body, and there are so many projects in which I have to be involved. And for me it is very difficult to do so many things at the same time.

Death Stranding will be released on November 8, 2019, exclusively on PlayStation 4. While Stefanie Joosten is back at the game’s stand at TGS 2019, Kojima and the voice actors ensure that the story told by Death Stranding will move players thanks to her characters complexes.
