With a new post published on its official pages, Microsoft expressed its satisfaction for the excellent debut of Gears 5, the new chapter of the third person shooter saga developed by The Coalition.
As we learn through the pages of Xbox Wire, Gears 5 managed to attract 3 million players only on its launch weekend, recording a new record for Xbox Game Pass and getting the best debut ever in this generation for an Xbox Game Studios game. The encouraging performance more than doubled the numbers of Gears of War 4 and made Gears 5 the most popular Xbox Game Studios title at launch since Halo 4, released in 2012. As for PC performance, Gears 5 has his predecessor’s number almost tripled, marking a new record for Xbox Game Pass on PC and for any Xbox Game Studios game published on Steam (although, on the Valve platform, the number of contemporary connected players have not impressed that much).
We remind readers that Gears 5 is now available on Windows PC and Xbox One.
