At the beginning of September, rumors spread on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2, apparently under development in the studios of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Capcom USA, however, it seems that this will not be the official title of the project.
According to the International Business Times, the game will be titled PlayStation All-Stars Arena and will be a “Brawler Arena 3D” in Super Smash Bros style, with elements inspired by productions such as Dissidia Final Fantasy NT and Power Stone. The game should boast an artistic style in Cel Shading with graphics similar to that of a modern cartoon, but at the moment there are no other details on the sequel to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
As said the game would be in development for some years with the support of Capcom, the release is expected in 2021 on PlayStation 5 and PC, but without Cross-Play support, it is not clear if the title will also arrive on PlayStation 4 and PS4 PRO. No substantial news on the roster, the source confirms the characters already revealed in recent weeks including Solid Snake, Ryu, Chun-Li, Dante, Sir Daniel Fortesque, Lara Croft, Spyro The Dragon, Delsin Rowe, Nathan Drake, Kratos, Ratchet & Clank and Spider-Man.
We look forward to any official announcements in this regard, Sony and Capcom for the moment have never confirmed the recently emerged leaks.
