David Gaider is one of the most brilliant minds ever to have worked in BioWare as well as lead writer on one of the studio’s most iconic games like Dragon Age: Origins , as well as collaborating on the writing of Dragon Age 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic , Neverwinter Nights and Baldur’s Gate.
The creative recently founded his own studio, Summerfall Studios, which will present its first game at the end of this month. Summerfall is jointly led by CEO Liam Elser who in turn participated in the drafting of games like Baldur’s Gate and Pillars of Eternity. The Australian-based studio has been working for more than a year and has already hired an executive producer, an art director, and other employees. According to a tweet published on the official account of Summerfall Studios, the first game of the team will be revealed by the end of the month, in view of the launch of the Kickstarter campaign which will start on October 10th.
At the moment there is no information on the type and type of game that the team has in store. From the Twitter account biography, we know that Summerfall is in charge of developing “characters and narrative games” and that the game in development will be ” a character-based adventure that will destroy your dreams and rip your heart out in the best way “. Obviously, given the past of the two co-founders, the tones are not surprising and the title promises to give a high-level narrative. All that remains is to wait until next week to understand what is boiling in the pot of Summerfall Studios.
Meanwhile BioWare, after the problems related to development, is trying to save Anthem with the entry of the title in the EA Access and Origin catalog and changing the structure of the additional contents.
