In an interview given to the curators of the PlayStation Asia YouTube channel during the TGS 2019, Shuhei Yoshida illustrated, as president of SIE Worldwide Studios, the vision of the Japanese company on the Dreams project, the promising sandbox of Media Molecule.
“Dreams is absolutely one of my favorite projects,“ Yoshida began before going into the matter and reiterating that “with this title we have a long-term vision of 10 years, we want the community to continue to grow. Dreams is a game that offers so many creative tools that it will take time for people to reach their goal and create what they want”.
According to the man in charge of the various divisions of Sony Interactive Entertainment, the latest interactive experiment by the authors of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway will, therefore, continue to be supported for many years, thus guaranteeing the Media Molecule team the widest room for maneuver for allowing further evolution of the project.
By virtue of the words spoken by Yoshida, therefore, we can take Dreams ‘ landing on PS5 practically for granted in a revised and expanded form, which does not limit itself to “emulating” what is offered on PlayStation 4 through reparability. In the meantime, we remind you that Dreams is currently in the Early Access phase: the Media Molecule sandbox community has already produced small masterpieces such as Outpost 60, action cyberpunk Guardians and incredible levels dedicated to Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the settings of the Oldest House by Control.
