Iceborne

Iceborne, the first major expansion of Monster Hunter World, has easily managed to maintain the first position of the Japanese classification won at its debut last week.

The 74,165 copies sold in the last seven days by the Master Edition – edition containing basic game and expansion – allowed Iceborne to keep behind three new high-level releases, namely eFootball PES 2020 (58.264 copies), Borderlands 3 (36,036 copies) and Daemon X Machina (28,149 copies). Here is the Top 10 provided by Famitsu, relating to the week from 9 to 15 September (the total number of copies sold in brackets):

  1. [PS4] Monster Hunter: World – Iceborne Master Edition – 74.165 (280.321)
  2. [PS4] eFootball Winning Eleven 2020 – 58.264 (New)
  3. [PS4] Borderlands 3 – 36.036 (New)
  4. [NSW] Daemon X Machina – 28.149 (New)
  5. [NSW] Super Mario Maker 2 – 14.512 (614.809)

Situation unchanged even on the hardware side, where once again Nintendo Switch dominates with 51,619 units, down compared to 77,392 last week. It will be interesting to find out how Nintendo Switch Lite is doing, coming to market in just two days. Below you will find the complete ranking (in the brackets the sales of the previous week):

  1. Nintendo Switch – 51.619 (77.392)
  2. PS4 – 27.437 (33.728)
