As we have already reported on our pages, The Last of Us Part II will be present at the Madrid Games Week in October (although a new post published on the PlayStation Blog has raised some doubts about this).
According to reports from Sony, the participants of the Spanish fair will be able to enjoy “different experiences related to The Last of Us Part II” , a detail that immediately made the fans travel with their mind waiting for anxious news on the game. Wanting to pay attention to the speculations that are gaining momentum on the ResetEra forum, Naughty Dog may be about to unravel the online multiplayer segment of its title. To support this hypothesis, we must consider that during the Media Event entirely dedicated to The Last of Us Part II to be held in that of Los Angeles at the end of September, the action-adventure will be playable for 3 hours: an unusual amount of time for a title so strongly based on narrative, and which could therefore suggest the presence of multiplayer during the test reserved for journalists in the sector.
The fans, at this point, except that the multiplayer sector (already present in the first chapter of the series) can show itself at the Madrid event, a bit like it happened in the case of Uncharted 4 with the Paris Games Week 2015; and who knows that Naughty Dog is therefore not going to launch a Beta Multiplayer of the game in the coming weeks .
Naturally, we would like to underline again that what has been reported is the result of mere speculation, and that there is currently no official information on this matter distributed by Sony and Naughty Dog. The Last of Us Part II remains awaited exclusively on PS4 at unannounced launch date.
