COD Modern Warfare, some historical maps of the first chapters could return

After the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Open Beta was launched, the data miners immediately started browsing the PC version files, finding some interesting references to a Battle Royale mode. The discoveries, however, do not end here!

VG Sources has indeed found clear references to some historical maps of the first chapters of the series, which still today are among the favorites of the entire gaming community. Specifically, we are talking about Shipment from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Rust, Sub Base and Terminal from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The fact that they are mentioned in the code does not represent an irrefutable proof of their presence in the game, but the eventuality does not seem so remote. It is likely that Infinity Ward is thinking of bringing them back to life, giving them an update and updating them to today’s graphic standards. After all, such operations are by no means new to the Activision franchise.

For absolute certainty, we must necessarily wait for official communication. We remind you that the Open Beta, aimed at testing the COD: Modern Warfare cross-play functions, will remain active until tomorrow, September 23rd. The launch of the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC is scheduled for October 25th.
