Pokemon GO is dead? Absolutely not: although the game can no longer count on the boom effect that characterized summer 2016, in August the Niantic Labs app recorded the best month ever with regard to collections.
Last August Pokemon GO grossed 176 million dollars, the highest result ever achieved in a single month from July 2016 to the present. Pokemon GO returned to the top of the most profitable app rankings last month, surpassing Honor Of Kings, very popular in Asia.
On the console front, Fortnite remains the most profitable game ever on the digital market with Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and GTA V to follow. On PC this record belongs to Dungeon Fighter Online, with League of Legends and World of Warcraft in second and third position. In the digital market ranking, Madden NFL 20 debuts in sixth place, with sales down 6% compared to Madden NFL 19.
World of Warcraft recorded a good increase in the number of subscriptions thanks to the release of WOW Classic, estimated growth of 223% compared to the month of July. Interesting numbers awaiting the great protagonists of the autumn such as FIFA 20 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare which should record a remarkable success on the digital market.
