As we have told you, Apex Legends experienced periods of ups and downs, but there is no doubt that especially in the first weeks after its release, it represented something new, so much so as to even call into question the throne of a giant like Fortnite.
Then the bubble got a little deflated and the success of the Respawn game was downsized, yet a feature could be coming that would solve the fate of the videogame, at least according to what emerged from a recent leak.
One of the features demanded loudly by the fans, and which up until now had not yet arrived, is definitely the support for cross-play, which EA has never denied, but has warned fans that it would take time and a lot of effort on the part of developers, and maybe now the work has paid off.
Some data miners have discovered some strings related to an upcoming update in the game code, which seem to be related to cross-play and even cross-progression, which is nothing more than the possibility of transferring their progress in-game from a platform to another one.
Of course, as in the case of all the leaks, the news must be taken with the proverbial salis wheat, but this is certainly information that will please fans of the game and those who still hope in implementing the above methods.
What do you think? Will this be the right move by Respawn and EA?
I'm not 100% convinced we'll see it soon, but did want to show that I found some handling for cross network play using something called Nucleus – also looks like they have a way to standardize the Player Identification across platforms? pic.twitter.com/MpIWgjkvFS
