Fortnite 10.40: Astral Periphery, double PE and Zone Wars among the new features of the update

As widely anticipated by Fortnite Battle Royale dataminer, the update to version 10.40 was published this morning after a short maintenance period.

Among the main novelties of the patch we find the introduction of a new Slit Zone entitled Astral Periphery and of the limited-time Zone Wars mode, in which it is possible to train much more easily in extreme situations such as those at the end of the game.

TIME MODE:

ZONE WARS

Type of team: Single | Regeneration: No

Simulates an end-of-game context in the actual Battle, but with a condensed moving zone! Eliminate opponents while avoiding the coming Storm. Each round will have a unique flavor thanks to generations and random inventories.

You can queue up with up to 15 friends.

  • Zone Wars: Colosseum
    • Creation of Jesgran.
    • Become the strongest gladiator ever on an island similar to the Colosseum. This island with an open style requires rapid construction.
  • Zone Wars: Desert
    • Creation of JotaPeGame.
    • Cross a small desert town to the final circle. A varied set of weapons and movement offer unique game dynamics and always new games.

    • Creation of Enigma.
    • Stay out of the Storm as you descend along the river on this island in the original Zone Wars style. Joint launch pads and a constant Tempesta course allow you to get familiar with it after just a few rounds.
  • Zone Wars: Vortex
    • Creation of Zeroyahero.
    • This island gives a unique touch to Zone Wars with its mountainous terrain to deal with. The change of altitude from area to area can be quite drastic!

  • When players use a grapple shooter to enter the slit zone, they will now be able to move during skydiving.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to deploy a hang glider while they were in the form of an object.

  • Aquatic Palms
    • Players can now use the Crouch command to exit the object form.
  • Strike indicators no longer appear on companions.
  • The assignment of the Reset camera command has been removed.

Bug fixes
