The Destiny 2 preload phase starts on Steam: confirmed the 105 GB of space required

Through the usual Bungie social channels, the now independent American developers inform us that it is finally possible to carry out the Destiny 2 preload on Steam, thanks to which we will be able to prepare for the arrival of the Ombre dal Profondo expansion and the launch of the free New Light version.

Bungie’s message urges sci-fi shooter fans who want to marry the Guardians’ cause to pre-download the huge amount of data required to play Destiny 2 and Shadowkeep starting October 1st, coinciding with the marketing of the DLC standalone and the beginning of the New Light phase both on PC and on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Destiny 2 preload on Steam, also, for this reason, does not only and exclusively involve buyers in pre-order of Shadowkeep and its Digital Deluxe edition but, on the contrary, it is open to everyone: to begin the pre-download phase of the approximately 100GB of requested data it is therefore sufficient to log in to your Steam account and click on the relevant button on the official Destiny 2 page that specifies the Free-to-Play nature that will soon take the basic version of the Bungie FPS blockbuster.
