In the end, the PlayStation State of Play in September really turned out to be as memorable as the odds were. Sony, after a long period of silence, has in fact finally decided to announce the release date of The Last of Us Part 2. Being a flagship product, Naughty Dog’s game will hit the market in several special editions.
The Last of Us Part 2 will arrive on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro on February 21st, 2020 in the Standard Edition, Special Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Collector’s Edition editions.
- The Special Edition retail will include the base game, a Steelbook case, a 48-page Dark Horse mini-artbook, a dynamic PS4 dashboard theme, and six PSN avatars;
- The Digital Deluxe Edition, which will only be released on PlayStation Store, will offer a copy of the game, the 48-page mini-artbook in digital format, the dynamic theme and six avatars for the PSN;
- The retail Collector’s Edition will include the base game, the steel bookcase, a statue of Ellie with the 30cm high guitar, a life-size replica of Ellie’s bracelet, six brooches, a lithograph, five stickers, the digital mini-artbook of 48 pages (both physical and digital), the digital soundtrack, the dynamic theme and six avatars for the PSN.

In the United States of America, the Ellie’s Edition will also be marketed, which in addition to the contents of the Collector’s Edition also offers Ellie’s backpack, an embroidered patch and a 7 “vinyl with the soundtrack.
In addition, those who decide to pre-order any of the editions described above will receive as a pre-order bonus an improvement in the capacity of the ammunition for the Ellie pistol and the unlocking of the Crafting Training Manual, which offers access to new crafting projects.
