To celebrate World Tourism Day on 27 September, Niantic, in collaboration with the United Nations and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), is preparing to launch a full-week event in Pokémon GO :
Starting from 22:00 (GMT +2) today, September 26th, you will find in the game:
- A new shirt in the Boutique dedicated to the World Tourism Organization;
- Regional Pokémon available in 5 km Eggs in the respective regions of the real world: Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Tauros, Heracross, Corsola, Volbeat, Illumise, Torkoal, Zangoose, Seviper, Lunatone, Solrock, Tropius, Relicanth, Pachirisu, Mime Jr., Chatot, Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Heatmor, and Durant;
- Zangoose or a wild chromatic Seviper in the respective regions of the real world;
- Mime Jr., the Pokémon Mime, will debut in Pokémon GO. It will be available in Europe in 5 km eggs. If you’re lucky, you could make a chromatic Mime Jr. hatch.
From 22:00 (GMT +2) today 26 September at the same time on Tuesday 1 October you can also take advantage of a 25% discount on Star Dust during exchanges, double the Experience Points by shooting the photo discs in the Pokéstops never visited before and a set of special themed field research tasks available for a limited time.
We take the opportunity to remind you that until October 17th you can participate in the Giratina Raid in Altered form, with the possibility of obtaining it also in the shiny form! Meanwhile, Pokémon GO recorded the best month ever since 2016 in August.
