The next Olympic Games in Tokyo will officially open on July 24th 2020. Nintendo instead beats everyone on time and is preparing for the launch of Mario & Sonic at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with which to anticipate the race for the richest medals.

Nintendo and Sega have posted a new advertising trailer on Twitter showing some fragments of gameplay. In the video, the most disparate sporting disciplines appear including the classic race, rowing, artistic gymnastics and other more particular activities such as skateboarding and rugby. In addition, Classic 2D events are shown in which Mario and Sonic compete for the most prized “retro” style medal. Between one sport and another, it will be possible to try the mini-games dedicated to the Olympic event that we saw in the previous videos shown during the last TGS 2019. In the game, there will be many of the most iconic characters from the Nintendo and Sega world., including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Sonic, Tails and many others.

We remind you that Mario and Sonic will start competing on November 8th (November 5th in Japan) exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
