Sensor Tower analyzed the commercial performance of Mario Kart Tour in the first week of its presence on the market: to date the game has totaled 90 million downloads, producing revenues of over twelve million dollars.
To date, Mario Kart Tour is the most downloaded Nintendo mobile game ever with 90.1 million downloads, a figure well above the number of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp (14.3 million), Super Mario Run (13 million) and Fire Emblem Heroes installations. (8.1 million). The largest number of downloads were made on Google Play Store with a total of 53.5 million installations compared to 36.5 million downloads from the App Store.
Also noteworthy are the revenues, which settle at 12.7 million dollars, a figure slightly lower than those obtained from Super Mario Run (16.1 million) and Fire Emblem Heroes (28.2 million), but we must specify that the aforementioned titles present well monetization systems different from each other and therefore difficult to compare.
After the tepid results obtained last summer with Dr. Mario World, Nintendo’s mobile division returns to success with the Mario Kart Tour, a title criticized for the presence of a $4.99 Season Pass but obviously capable of winning over the general public.
