A real heirloom linked to the videogame universe could change hands and change ownership in the near future: here are all the details!
The iconic Nintendo PlayStation prototype is currently in the possession of Terry Diebold, but over the next few years, the situation could change. The news was anticipated by Cedric Biscay, President of Shibuya Productions and organizer of the MAGIC Monaco event. Through his Twitter account, he had in fact announced to the public that he had spoken to Diebold and had learned of his decision to sell the object. Subsequently, the official confirmation came: always through twitter, the current owner of the official prototype of Nintendo PlayStation has invited those seriously interested to advance a purchase proposal to contact him privately. For now, no precise estimate of the value of this peculiar piece of videogame history is available: within his Tweet, Biscay himself has in fact declared himself extremely curious to learn about the eventual final price! At the twitter, the latter has also attached some images of the object: you can find them at the bottom, along with the two Tweets.
Still, on the subject of rarity, there has recently been talking of a rare Nintendo 64 controller prototype, in addition to the sale of the Nintendo World Championship 1990, a rare NES cartridge.
Terry Diebold that we have invited several years ago at @MagicMonaco just informed me that he wants to sell his Nintendo PlayStation official prototype. I am very curious to know about the final price for this !
