Is Nintendo working on a new 2D Mario title?

If you want to get your hands on a new Mario adventure in the not too distant future, there may be good news for you, at least according to what emerged from a job announcement published by the same Nintendo on Twitter.

The Great N is, in fact, looking for new talents specialized in level design for a 2D action game, and who can create levels, help in developing the gameplay and finding and fixing bugs. Now generally Nintendo tends not to reveal the video game for which job announcements would be reserved, apart from a few special cases.

In this case, the name of Super Mario is not explicitly done, but in the image chosen as a presentation, there is a collection of 2D Nintendo games, most of which was dedicated to the famous mustachioed mascot of the Kyoto house.

In addition to this, Nintendo is also looking for staff for a new 3D game, and even in this case Super Mario is depicted in an image, but this one seems more generic, probably chosen as an image-mascot, in fact, relative to the company.

In short, what’s cooking in the Mushroom Kingdom? For the moment, alas, we just have to wait for further developments. Mario’s latest 2D adventure is New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Would you like a new Super Mario title coming soon?
