The independent Forever Entertainment team confirmed the rumours of the past few weeks that they wanted the imminent return of The House of the Dead series, very popular in the 90s. The company, also working on the remake of Panzer Dragoon, announced that it had acquired the rights for the re-editions of The House of the Dead 1 and 2.
At the moment there are no details and the company makes it known that it cannot disclose release date, reference platforms and in general other information on this project. Forever Entertainment uses the term “remake” so we can confidently state that it will not be remastered editions.
The House of the Dead and The House of the Dead 2 will return to our screens but it is not clear whether the two games will be part of a single collection or whether they will be sold separately. The previous rumour was about a planned launch in 2020 so the wait may not be too long.
Interesting to note the strategy of SEGA, the house of Sonic is not directly involved in the project but in recent times it seems interested to license some of its historical franchises such as Panzer Dragoon, The House of the Dead and Streets of Rage. Will we see other SEGA classics returning in great shape in the near future?
Hi Guys! We confirm the signing of the agreement regarding remakes of the games "The House of the Dead" and "The House of the Dead 2". No platforms or release dates have been confirmed, and unfortunately we can’t say anything more for now. Please keep fingers crossed for us and..
