End PlayStation 4 Facebook support?

Playstation 4: Sony Has Released the New Firmware 6.70

If you are among the gamers who like to share trophies, screenshots or game videos on Facebook directly from your PlayStation 4, there may be bad news for you, at least according to a Reddit user.

Let’s talk about that LegendaryKillerB who posted a conversation that, according to him, a friend of his had with PlayStation Asia customer service, which reports that the support for PS4 ‘s Facebook features would be permanently interrupted today, 7 October 2019.

As we write, it appears that many Reddit users in the discussion comments have reported having problems logging on to the popular social network from their console, along with error messages.

In any case, it must be said that the news must be taken with the benefit of the doubt, being a rumor. It is not clear in fact if the information is actually official, and if it refers for example only to Asian or worldwide PS4 users. We look forward to an official clarification from Sony, so stay “tuned” on our pages for all the news about it.

Sony had already stopped supporting Facebook on PS3 and PS Vita, but it was a console at the end of its life. It is true that the arrival of PS5 is planned for next year, but currently, PlayStation 4 is still the reference console, so a decision of this kind would seem rather strange.

What do you think? If it were true would it be a bad blow? Have you already reported problems using Facebook features on your PS4?

Meanwhile, this week should see the 7.0 PlayStation 4 update: find all the information on our website.
