Avalanche Studios is currently looking for two professional figures to be included in the New York studios currently working on projects not yet announced for next-generation consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett.
The company is specifically looking for a Build Engineer and an Engine Programmer both with experience in the console world and the High-End PC with the aim of expanding the team currently engaged in game production for next-generation platforms.
But what will these projects not be announced yet? Avalanche Studios (not to be confused with Avalanche Software) has recently published RAGE 2, Generation Zero and Just Cause 4. There is a good chance that the company is working on the sequel of at least one of the listed titles and if Generation Zero was not a great commercial success, both RAGE 2 and Just Cause 4 produced useful and almost certainly the respective publishers are interested in carrying on the two franchises.
Avalanche could, therefore (the conditional is a must) already be engaged on Just Cause 5 on behalf of Square Enix or RAGE 3, the latter produced in collaboration with ID Software and published by Bethesda. The hypothesis of a new IP is also not excluded, at the moment the study has not commented on the news so we remain in the field of pure speculation.
