Demon’s Souls between PS4 and next-gen: will Remaster be among the PS5 launch games?

On the occasion of Mark Cerny’s interview with Wired who set the PS5 release at Christmas 2020, Bluepoint president Marco Thrush whetted the fantasies of the users, declaring that he was working on a “big video game” for PS5, adding in a cryptic way that “it will let us understand the rest”.

Despite being independent and detached from the Sony Interactive Entertainment subsidiary galaxy, the Texas software house has a long history of collaborating with the Japanese technology giant, specializing in the PS4 transpositions of PS3 and PS Vita titles such as Shadow of the Colossus, the Nathan titles Drake Collection by Uncharted is the remastered version of Gravity Rush.

If viewed in this light, Thrush’s final statements only rekindle the fuse of the rumors linked to Demon’s Souls Remaster, a project that was expected to be announced during Sony’s last State of Play, or at least that’s how much reported by sources interviewed by journalist Colin Moriarty.

Behind the sibylline message of the Bluepoint boss could also be hidden the announcement of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2, a title protagonist of a new jumble of rumors on PS5 and the launch games that will accompany the commercialization at the end of 2020.
