PS5: Did Microsoft offer a job to Sony’s redundant employees?

As we have told you, yesterday rumors have emerged that Sony has fired some employees of the American and European PlayStation divisions. The news generated various controversies, both for the fact itself and for the timing.

In fact, there were those who accused the Japanese giant of taking advantage of the PS5 announcement to push the alleged layoffs into the background. In the past few hours, the first testimonies of the employees that would have been sent away by Sony have emerged, and help in this sense was offered by the competition.

The general manager of Xbox Marketing, Aaron Greenberg, has in fact expressed closeness in a tweet to the workers, after being tagged by a user, writing: “I’m sorry for the news. If you are available to come to Seattle we have open roles. If I can do something let me know”, then linking the list of open positions on the Microsoft site.

Greenberg then tried to cheer up the artists involved: “Keep your head up, the industry is growing and there are a lot of great jobs” . So if there are really talents left by Sony, you can bet that they will soon find new business, whether on the Xbox or not.
