Koei Tecmo: Nioh has sold 2.75 million copies, AOT 2 Final Battle does not impress

From Japan, the first sales figures for the most recent Koei-Tecmo branded titles arrive, revealed during the last financial meeting with the company’s shareholders. Nioh is one of the biggest hits of the last few years while Attack on Titan 2 Final Battle seems to have disappointed expectations.

Nioh has reached 2.75 million copies in Europe, Japan and North America, as it includes the sales results of the PlayStation 4 and PC versions. AOT 2 Final Battle does not exceed 220,000 copies worldwide, a decidedly low figure considering the tow guaranteed by the popularity of the anime/manga series, to be considered, however, as if it were only an “extended re-edition” of a game already known.

Finally, the data of Atelier Ryza Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout: the game has sold 160,000 copies in Japan, in this case, the data of the western market are missing, where the title will arrive only next 29 October. In February 2019 Nioh had sold 2.5 million copies, in recent months the game has therefore placed another 250,000 copies, respectable numbers for a recent title that bodes well for the success of Nioh 2, arriving in the first months of 2020 on PlayStation 4.
