We are still here, a few days after BlizzCon 2019, to discuss the possible existence of Diablo 4. The fourth instalment of the hack ‘n’ slash series par excellence has been awaited for years, and by now there are really many clues and rumours pointing to its imminent announcement.
A few days ago, we talked about the presence of an advertisement for the book The Art of Diablo in a German magazine called Game Star. This is an art book due out November 3 (immediately after BlizzCon 2019, coincidence?) Which according to the description will contain over 500 illustrations of Diablo, Diablo 2, Diablo 3 and Diablo 4. Well, it seems that someone has managed to get hold of the artbook and find further proof of the existence of the fourth chapter.
The Twitter user WeakAuras has published what appears to be a real page of the book, which describes the character of Lilith, the queen of the Succubi who appeared many years ago during the Pandemonium Event of Diablo 2, reserved for Battle.net subscribers. His description reads: ” The appearance of Lilith in Diablo 4 is a very different reworking of its original form”. At the bottom of the page, there is also concept art of the character drawn by John Polidora.
So, in one fell swoop, the page of the art book could have confirmed both the existence of Diablo 4 and the return of an old enemy . Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer before discovering something official. The BlizzCon 2019 will take place on 1 and 2 November, and according to the latest rumours, it could also give us the announcement of Overwatch 2.
