Almost does not seem true, but the release date of Shenmue 3, desired game for more than three decades, is getting closer and closer. Ys Net is, therefore, pushing hard on the marketing pedal in an attempt to better present its product.
The latest video published on the official channel of the game takes us for a walk to the fascinating Chinese settings that will be the background to the story. Following the events narrated in Shenmue 2, the protagonist Ryo Hazuki travels to China, in the mountains of Guilin, in search of his father’s murderer. His journey begins in the Bailu Village and then continues in the city of Niaowu on the Li River, full of shops, hotels and temples, to which players can approach as if it were an open-world.
In the video, subtitled in English, Yu Suzuki explains that to create the village of Bailu he was very informed about the Chinese ethnic minorities and their customs. “The culture of these people is still alive, and their traditional clothes are truly wonderful,” he said. In bringing it to screen, he also tried to recreate the look of a painting of natural scenery, with streams and lots of green. He then explained that he had characterized in the most thorough way possible the non-player characters, who will stand out in appearance and personal history. For more information, we invite you to watch the video at the top of this news.
Shenmue 3 will be released on PlayStation 4 and PC on November 19th. A few days ago we met Niao Sun, one of the bosses of the criminal organization Chi You Men.
