Persona 5 Royal now available in Japan … and Phantom Thieves invade Shibuya!

Persona 5 Royal: Comparative Video of the New Locations and the Real Tokyo

After the great success achieved by the JRPG, which had around 2.7 million copies sold in April, Atlus brings Persona 5 Royal to the market, an expanded version of the original game.

The awaited production is available from today, Thursday 31 October, in Japanese territory, exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. To celebrate its launch, the Atlus management decided to organize a rather peculiar event, bringing the whole team of the Phantom Thieves directly in the heart of the capital of the rising sun. The software house has in fact organized the transmission of the entire opening sequence of Persona 5 Royal on the screens that stand at the famous intersection of Shibuya, Tokyo district! The choice, as anyone who already knows the title will know, is certainly not accidental and represents a nice way to announce the return of the JRPG on Japanese videogame shelves! You can take a look at the development of the initiative directly at the bottom of this news: Persona’s Japanese Twitter account published a short video!

In closing, we recall that the game is destined to reach the Old Continent in the future. SEGA has confirmed with a special trailer for Persona 5 Royal that the JRPG will arrive in Europe and North America during the spring of 2020.
