The actress of Kenyan origin and born in Mexico City will be recognized by her character in the movie ‘Us’.
Lupita Nyong’o will receive the ‘Montecito’ award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival SBIFF, for her character in the movie ‘We’.
The Oscar-winning actress has already been nominated this season for the SAG and Critics’ Choice awards.
The Mexican actress of Kenyan origin will be recognized in this important event, and the director of the festival Roger Durling referred to Lupita: “She is a fierce artist, endowed with unlimited appeal and precision. We are big fans of everything she has done, and we are still amazed by her double-acting in ‘We’. We are deploying our red carpet for Lupita. ”
The awards will be held on January 20 at the Arlington Theater in the city of Santa Barbara and will be the 35th edition of this film meeting.
