Michelle Williams Is the Voice of Women in the Golden Globes


Hollywoodense actress Michelle Williams marked her presence at the Golden Globe ceremony with a speech dedicated to women 

Actress Michelle Williams was one of the actresses who marked her presence at the Golden Globes ceremony as it became the voice of women.

The Hollywood star gave a speech in which she avoided politics by speaking with a message of thanks for the upcoming elections in the United States, the situation of women and the right to abortion.

After receiving the Golden Globe as best actress in a limited television series for her role in FX’s “Fosse / Verdon,” she shared the following message excitedly.

I feel grateful for the recognition of the choices I have made and also for having lived at a time when there are options in our society, because as women and as girls the things that can happen to our body are not our choice.

Williams also noted the current right of women to decide, when? and When to decide to have children.

It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time that the actress makes use of an award to dedicate some message, and this time it was the platform of the Golden Globes in which she took the opportunity to mention the important era of the #MeToo movement, and invited the creator of this movement to go up with her to the red carpet and the reception.

She also finished her speech last Sunday night with an invitation to women to take action in this election year.

So for women between 18 and 118, when it is time to vote, please do so according to your own interests, ”said Williams. “That’s what men have done for years.”

On the other hand,  Williams also dedicated a few words to her 14-year-old daughter Matilda and her current partner the director of “Hamilton” Thomas Kail with whom she paraded the red carpet and who also dedicated a mention.

Tommy and Matilda are dying to be home with you, ”he said.

It was in the backstage in which the actress shared the reasons why she addressed these issues in her speech. Mainly noted she wanted to use her voice and achieve positive things.

By nature I am a shy person, but I am about to turn 40 and I realized that over a long time I have changed and I have become stronger and more capable and I have found my voice and I wanted to be able to do it. Because I know that when other people use their voices that has made a difference in my life, ”said Williams.

The talented actress concluded her message by saying that she still has a lot to give and seeks thanks for everything she has obtained. 

Also, at this age and where I am in my life, I have so much to give that it would be negligent of me in this position not to try to return everything that was given to me. ”
