Long Live Colombia! Shakira Teaches How to Dance “Champeta” and Invites Her Fans to Join the Challenge


The Medellín singer leaves her country’s name high.

After the delirium caused by the majestic presentation of Shakira in the Super Bowl, the fever of her fans for her amazing choreography seems to have no limits.

The “Eyes like this” singer savors the honey of success and takes advantage of the idyll of one of the most emblematic moments in her artistic career, to keep the euphoria generated among her followers on.

Regarding the mix of musical rhythms fused during her acclaimed show, Piqué’s wife wanted to share in her social networks, a video in which she demonstrates how to dance one of the characteristic rhythms of her country.

Together with her dance body and guided by one of her dancers, the Medellín-born singer published a tutorial in which she teaches how to move to the rhythm of the popular “Champeta”, known as one of the most popular musical manifestations of Colombia.

With a choreography inspired by the typical dance of her native country, Shakira showed the step by step of one of the compositions presented at the sporting event. “Champeta Tutorial. Here we show you how to dance the champeta of the Halftime Show of the Super Bowl, ”the artist wrote in the post.

But to the surprise of many, in her next publication, the artist exhibited another video that shows that part of the team that played behind the scenes was also influenced by the interpreter of “Waka waka.   

“Directors, producers, cameras, … all learning to dance Champeta! #ChampetaChallenge ”, was the message shared by Shakira who plans to virtualize the label with the participation of all her followers in the challenge.
