Kingdom Hearts Collections Is Available on Xbox One X in 4K

Kingdom Hearts Collections is available today on Xbox One X, also in 4K. On the store, you can find HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.

After a long wait, Kingdom Hearts Collections is also available today on Xbox One. On the store, you can find Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Both games will be in 4K on Xbox One X.

Kingdom Hearts fans will be happy to know that the two collections that collect all the games released so far in the Square Enix series are also available on Xbox One. The games have been remastered in 4K Ultra HD: the owners of Xbox One X, therefore, will be able to enjoy a superior detail, exactly as happened with the PS4 Pro version.

The Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 2.5 ReMIX is a collection of six Kingdom Hearts adventures that form the basis of the series. Here is our review of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. The collection includes:

  • Kingdom Hearts FINAL MIX
  • Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories
  • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (remastered footage in HD)
  • Kingdom Hearts II FINAL MIX
  • Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final MIX
  • Kingdom Hearts Re: coded (remastered HD movies)

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a collection of three Kingdom Hearts adventures. The Xbox Marketplace page claims that the game is 4K Ultra HD on Xbox One X. On PS4 Pro the remastering of this chapter stopped at 1080p with the frame rate unlocked. Is this an oversight from Microsoft or have the developers been able to push the game beyond FullHD on Xbox One X? In the meantime, here is the review of the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.

The collection includes:

  • Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage –
  • Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover (film)
  • Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD

At the moment the games are not yet available from us, but only the official pages. Being already available in New Zealand, however, it should be a matter of hours. Will the higher resolution be enough to push you to buy?
